The Pokrovsky Cathedral was built in 1907 in honor of soldiers who died during the Russian-Japanese war.

Kalnin, V.V. Holy Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Nunnery // Kalnin, V.V. Grodno in the dialogue of centuries. – Minsk: Kavaler, 2008. – Р. 108-115. - in Belarusian and in English.

The monastery was built on the site of the Prechistenskaya church of 12th century. In the days of the union and it’s inhabitants were Vilna bazilianki. After 1839 the monastery became Orthodox.

The Franciskanskiy monastery complex is only Zanemanskiy monastery complex. Style rokoko dominates in the decoration of the monastery.
