The Pokrovsky Cathedral was built in 1907 in honor of soldiers who died during the Russian-Japanese war.

The monastery was built on the site of the Prechistenskaya church of 12th century. In the days of the union and it’s inhabitants were Vilna bazilianki. After 1839 the monastery became Orthodox.
